A fan’s goodbye to Kernels’ John Rogers

Growing up with a brother who was 3 years older than me, he sort of got me hooked on baseball. We listened to the Cedar Rapids ballgames on the radio in the evenings.
The last few years, I got hooked on John Rogers during our supper time. Loved hearing him interview the Kernels' players and his broadcasting voice, his excitement, the explanatory dialogue of the uniforms, weather, etc.
We will miss him next season and wish all the best for him.
