9/11 images worse than bin Laden death photo

We may not see the photos of a defunct Osama bin Laden because certain folks might take umbrage and try to do us harm and we don't need to gloat. We are better than that.
Those certain folks will hate and try to harm us no matter what. Yes, we do need and deserve to gloat.
Ten years ago, millions of us watched while doomed tenants of the World Trade Center towers gathered at blown-out windows. The smoke billowed around them and the fire licked at their backs. The moment of one's death should be the most private of one's life.
Because of the actions of bin Laden, millions watched as these helpless people were forced to decide whether they would burn to death or jump to their deaths. A photographic image does not get much more graphic or obscene than that.
Compared with that, the photo of a dead mass murderer with “two taps” to the head is a walk in the park.
