$75,000 for election could be better spent

Thank you to the tax-and-spend Republicans who pushed Johnson County to spend $75,000 on an election to fill a Board of Supervisors seat for barely 11 months.
How ironic to see Lori Cardella and her Republican friends down on the Pentacrest working so hard in getting students signatures with it only being a year after Republicans were so critical of Democrats for getting the students involved in the presidential election.
I now understand better why Cardella wanted a special election so bad. She tried to mask it by telling people to not take away their right to vote for a person to fill the open supervisor seat. What she should have been saying is please spend the $75,000 so she can personally gain from it. After all, she is now asking people to vote for her. How convenient.
I look forward to the special election so we can welcome Janelle Rettig to the Board of Supervisors a second time, and tell Cardella thanks but no thanks.
