2 women’s floral work makes C.R. a treasure

As spring approaches, I would like to compliment two women who are primarily responsible for the lovely flowers that grace our parks and public spaces. They manage the Noelridge greenhouse. Kristie Benzine and Lori Farmer are a real blessing to Cedar Rapids. Their expertise and hard work have made us the envy of other cities.
I have joined other volunteers over the past three years. We look forward to February and March so we can help get plants ready for Easter and Mother's Day shows.
Although we all love plants, we are there primarily because of Kristie and Lori. Getting to work with such people while giving back to our city is a real privilege.
