1st District needs a representative not MIA

The point of government is to not burden its citizens; to use tax dollars to help us get ahead and make life easier. Republicans, including U.S. Rep. Rod Blum, passed a tax plan costing $1.5 trillion under which the vast majority of benefits go to the wealthiest Americans, through policies that hurt the rest of us.
An example is the elimination of the tax penalty for not buying medical insurance, which could result in roughly 29,000 people in Iowa's 1st Congressional District not having health care coverage - almost 19,000 of them are ages 18 to 64 and had been covered under the ACA.
Blum also voted for the American Health Care Act, better known as Trump Care, under which an estimated 23 million Americans would have lost health care coverage. That vote took place on May 4, 2017, and fortunately was defeated. It's interesting that Blum's last town hall meeting was on May 9, 2017. Yes, there was vocal opposition to his vote on the bill but where has he been since then?
We will 'remember in November” and vote Abby Finkenauer to be Iowa's 1st District representative. Abby has been fighting for us at the state level and will continue to do so in the U.S. Congress. We will be seeing Abby out in the district, talking with her constituents.
