Some penguins poop pink, and more super poop facts

According to researchers at the University of Iowa, between all the people and all the animals in the state of Iowa, Iowa produces more poop than almost any state in the nation.

In an article titled '50 Shades of Brown,” UI researcher Christopher Jones wrote, 'Just to ensure clarity, in Iowa, we are generating as much fecal waste in every square mile as 2,979 people.

For reference, Iowa City is the second-most densely-populated city in Iowa and has 2,775 people per square mile.”
