Imagine and create your own pretend pizza party
Iowa Children's Museum
Nov. 29, 2021 11:00 am
Did you know that in the United States, 350 slices of pizza are eaten every second?
Use these instructions, the printable at the bottom of this story and your imagination to play with pizza in a fun new way.
What you need:
- The newspaper
- Crayons
- Scissors
- A cereal or cracker box
What you do:
1. Cut out the pizza crust template below.
2. Use the template to trace a circle on a cereal or cracker box.
3. Cut out your cardboard pizza crust.
4. Color your toppings.
5. Cut out your toppings and create your pizza pie!
More you can try
Create a pizza shop to serve your slices! Do you have a restaurant with tables and menus? Or a drive-through window? Or maybe a pizza truck?
Design and cut out some silly toppings! Do you have some Thanksgiving leftovers that might make for yummy toppings? What would a space alien want on their pizza? Or a sea monster? Or your pet?
Make it interesting! Can you make a pie with different toppings on each of the four slices? How about one that is 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni?
