Xavier announces ACT, Advanced Placement test results

Xavier High School ACT Results:
Xavier High School is proud to announce the ACT results for the Xavier Class of 2012. Xavier students scored an average of 23.8 (compared to the state average of 22.1). This year's composite is .2 higher than that of the Class of 2011. Even more impressive is that 100% of Xavier High School students took the exam compared to approximately 66% statewide.
Xavier High School Advanced Placement Test Results:
Xavier High School is proud to announce the Advanced Placement Test results. 114 students took 180 exams with an average score of 3.12. Some additional highlights include:
? 85% of Xavier U.S. Government students earned a passing score of 3 or higher vs. 52% nationally.
? 73% of Xavier U.S. History students earned a passing score of 3 or higher vs. 55% nationally! 30% of Xavier testers had top score 5 vs.12% nationally.
? 75% of Xavier Spanish students earned a passing score of 3 or higher.
? 70% of Xavier Biology students earned a passing score of 3 or higher vs. 50% nationally.
? 13 Xavier students were named AP Scholars for scoring a 3 or higher on at least 3 exams: Ben Biggins, Stephanie Brady, Elizabeth Gust, David Kirpes, Sarah Koenighain, James Krouse, Kerry McCartan, Allysia Oberfoell, Megan Reiman, Hannah Rochford, Josh Steffensmeier, Zach Stovie, and Emily Walvoord.
? Four Xavier students were named AP Scholars with Honors for earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken AND grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams: Jackson Esker, Justin Fenske, Kathleen Gallagher, and Tyler Laska.
? Two Xavier students were named AP Scholars with Distinction for earning an average grade of at least 3.50 on all AP Exams taken AND grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams: Kelly Biermann and Joseph Pape.
