UPDATE: Video surveillance released Friday shows two young men at Kingston Stadium before police say they caused about $1,500 in damage.
But even more helpful to police might be the yellow dog they are walking.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said even if no one recognizes the men, they may connect the dots if they've seen the dog.
The video shows two white males on the southeast side of the stadium around 1:27 a.m. Saturday. They are walking together with the dog when one of them stops next to a building for a moment. Hamblin said the suspect paused to spray paint on the building.
One of the suspects, dressed in a black hooded sweat shirt and dark jeans, was on a skateboard. The other, who was walking the dog, wore a black shirt and white shorts.
The vandalism was discovered Monday morning. Messages and other designs were all over the press box, tunnel walls and stadium seats. Police said a vehicle nearby was also vandalized.
Some of the messages included a vow to blow up the stadium and others made references to President Obama.
Anyone who recognizes the people or dog, or has any other information, is asked to call police at (319) 286-5411 (day) or (319) 286-5459 (night).
A reward is also possible for those who call Linn County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-CR-CRIME.
