Three finalists to become the next University of Iowa provost will visit campus starting next week, UI officials said today in a campus-wide email.
The name of each finalist will be announced 24 hours before their campus visit, UI Spokesman Tom Moore said Thursday.
The finalists will take part in a series of day-and-a-half meetings with faculty, staff and student and administration leaders. The campus visits also will include a public presentation and open forum. The candidates will give a 20-25 minute presentation and then will open up the discussion to questions from the audience.
The dates, times, and locations of the public forums are:
- 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 26th in the Illinois Seminar Room (348) of the Iowa Memorial Union.
- 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 29th in the Bijou Theater (166) of the Iowa Memorial Union.
- 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 4th in the Bijou Theater (166) of the Iowa Memorial Union
Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to attend these events and learn more about the finalists for the Provost position.
