Two newest school makeup days in Cedar Rapids set for May 31, June 3

Classes will now be held for students in the Cedar Rapids Community School District on Friday, May 31, and Monday, June 3, according to Cedar Rapids School district spokesperson Marcia Hughes.
The dates will replace the weather-related cancellations of Feb. 22 and March 5. They were established on the district calendar as weather-related make-up dates.
Students attending Taylor Elementary School – which operates on a modified calendar - will make up the two snow days on Monday and Tuesday, March 11 and 12, before beginning intercession break, Hughes said.
