School calendar comments sought

Residents who want to comment on two proposed Cedar Rapids Community School District calendars for the 2010-11 school year may do so until Sept. 28 by phone or e-mail. The two options can be found on the District Web site at www.cr.k12.ia.us
The school board is scheduled to set the calendar Oct. 26 after receiving a recommendation from Supt. David Benson. Each proposal contains 180 student contact days, 190/191 teacher contract days, 10 holidays and a combination of full- and half- staff learning days.
