PHOTOS: Mt. Mercy students compete to be last person standing

Mount Mercy College students keep a hand on a children's playhouse during the Last Person Standing competition in the Lundy Commons at Mount Mercy College on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, in northeast Cedar Rapids. The winner of the 24-hour endurance contest to see who can keep a hand on a large toy house will win a free double room for the entire 2010-11 academic year, an amount estimated at $3,400 - $4,100, based on the 2009-10 room costs. Second-place receives a $250 gift certificate to the Mount Mercy bookstore. There are 11 students competing. (Jim Slosiarek/The Gazette)
