IOWA CITY - The state Board of Regents will discuss 2011-12 tuition rates for the University of Iowa, Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa next week, but no details of the proposal are available yet.
The meeting information for the regents meeting, to be held Wednesday and Thursday in Iowa City, was released Thursday.
Typically, tuition and fee details are included in the advance information. But the proposals were not included this time, and regents officials said it's unknown when the information might be released.
The Higher Education Price Index range, which measures expected inflation, is 2.2 percent to 4.0 percent for fiscal 2012. The proposals often fall within the index's range, though the regents can set any rate they choose.
