Miles re-elected as Iowa Board of Regents president

David Miles was re-elected Thursday morning as president of the state Board of Regents.
Miles, of West Des Moines, has been regents president for just over two years. He was re-elected Thursday to another two-year term as president during a meeting in Iowa City. The choice was unanimous, with Miles abstaining.
Jack Evans, of Cedar Rapids, was chosen for another term as president pro tem of the board. The vote was unanimous, with Evans abstaining. Evans also is a member of The Gazette board of directors.
