LaSalle Middle School student selected for state honor band

CEDAR RAPIDS -- Ashley Lang, an eighth grader at LaSalle Middle School, has been selected to the Iowa Bandmasters Association (IBA) Honor Band.
Lang is one of 22 eighth grade students in northeast Iowa to be accepted and one of only four clarinetists chosen to participate in the IBA band. She will join 132 of the best eighth grade instrumentalists in the state of Iowa and perform at the IBA Conference in Des Moines in May.
