Kids vs. Cops dodgeball tournament Jan. 27

Harding Middle School will host the fifth annual Kids vs. Cops Dodge Ball Tournament on Friday, Jan. 27. The fund-raising event, organized by the Harding Student Council, benefits the Cedar Rapids Police Department K-9 Unit and specifically funds the purchase of protective vests and other necessities for the dogs.
The event will be held from 1 to 2:45 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Representatives from the CRPD, including the K-9 unit, will be involved in the tournament, and the dogs will be on site.
The cost is $3 to watch or play. The school raised $2,000 in 2011.
Harding Middle School is located at 4801 Golf St. NE.
