Iowa City schools participate in Holiday Mail for Heroes

Each year, the Red Cross sponsors a great program called Holiday Mail for Heroes. Through this program, the Red Cross partners with Pitney Bowes to send holiday cards to servicemembers, veterans, and military families both in the United States and overseas. Congressman Dave Loebsack participates with this program and hand-delivers holiday cards from Iowa students to servicemembers deployed overseas.

This year 13 Iowa City Schools are participating in this program to provide thousands of cards to our heroes. Students have submitted cards that Congressman Loebsack's office will pick up and deliver to the Red Cross to be distributed to our servicemembers and veterans.
