Graduations still set at U.S. Cellular Center despite construction
Despite construction plans, Cedar Rapids high schools commencement ceremonies will take place at the U.S. Cellular Center this spring.
There was some confusion as to whether or not graduation for Jefferson, Washington and Kennedy high schools would occur in the same location due to planned construction at the U.S. Cellular Center this summer. But the construction does not begin until Aug. 11, 2011, well after the May graduations.
The graduation dates are:
- May 26 – Washington High School, 7:30 p.m.
- May 27 – Jefferson High School, 7:30 p.m.
- May 28 – Kennedy High School, 7:30 p.m.
