Free meals available to kids beginning June 6
Cedar Rapids, Prairie schools offer breakfast and lunch throughout the summer

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Cedar Rapids and College Community school districts are offering free meals to all children 18 and younger this summer.
In the College Community School District, meals will be served Monday-Friday from June 8 to Aug. 22. Breakfast will be available from 8-9 a.m. and lunch will be available from 11-12:30 a.m. in the cafeteria of Prairie Heights Elementary School, 190 76th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids.
In the Cedar Rapids Community School District, meals will be served Monday-Friday beginning June 6. Breakfast will be served from 8-9 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11:30-12:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays.
Because of changes in federal programming, meals must be eaten on site.
Adults do not have to be present for a child to receive meals and no identification or paperwork is required. Meals are not available to adults.
From June 12 to July 28, meals will be available at the following sites Mondays-Fridays:
- Hoover Elementary — 4141 Johnson Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids
- Johnson STEAM Academy — 355 18th St. SE, Cedar Rapids
- Wright Elementary — 1524 Hollywood Blvd NE, Cedar Rapids
- McKinley STEAM Academy — 620 10th St. SE, Cedar Rapids
- Roosevelt Creative Corridor Business Academy — 300 13th St. NW, Cedar Rapids
From June 6 to Aug. 17, meals will be available at the following sites Mondays-Fridays:
- Erskine Elementary — 600 36th St. SE, Cedar Rapids
- Kenwood Leadership Academy — 3700 E Ave, Cedar Rapids
- Harding Middle School — 4801 Golf St. NE, Cedar Rapids
- West Willow Elementary — 6225 First Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids
From June 20 to July 27, meals will be available at the following site Mondays-Thursdays:
- Wilson Middle School — 2301 J St. SW, Cedar Rapids
From June 20 to July 20, meals will be available at the following site Mondays-Thursdays:
- Jefferson High School — 1243 20th St. SW, Cedar Rapids
From June 8 to June 22, meals will be available at the following site Mondays-Fridays:
- Metro High School — 1212 Seventh St. SE, Cedar Rapids
