CR schools start Tuesday

All students in the Cedar Rapids school district will be back in the classroom on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
The first day of 2011-12 school year will be an early dismissal day for most students. All middle and high school students will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. Students at Wilson and Grant schools will also dismiss at 12:30. Most other elementary students will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m.
Students at Taylor and Polk elementary schools, who began the school year on July 21, will not be part of the early dismissal schedule on Tuesday.
