Coolidge teacher named Iowa PE teacher of the year

Kathy Szabo, physical education teacher at Coolidge Elementary School, has been named the 2011 Iowa Physical Education Elementary School Teacher of the Year by the Iowa Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. As the recipient of this award, she will now be considered for the regional and state recognitions.
“Kathy is a very hard-working and flexible teacher in our school,” said Greg O'Connell, Coolidge Principal. “She is willing to help out in a variety of situations and make it the best for our students.”
Szabo will be recognized during a special event on Sunday, Oct. 2.
