Cape Pierce launches rockets

On Friday, May 14, at 9:10 AM you may mistake the Pierce playground for Cape Canaveral. There will be 75 fifth graders launching rockets with the help of Rockwell engineers. Students spent three class periods building the rockets with guidance of the engineers. Then the tense wait for the perfect weather conditions began! (just like at the “Cape”) We will not have “Huston” to guide our rockets but the excitement and learning will happen! Small parachutes will bring our rockets back to earth. Just like the astronauts, Pierce fifth graders will have an experience to remember!
