Bedbugs found in Marshalltown classroom

Some central Iowa elementary school students aren't expected back in class until their room is cleared of bedbugs.
The Times-Republican in Marshalltown says students in one classroom at Hoglan Elementary School were sent home Tuesday.
District spokesman Jason Staker says bedbugs were found on some materials in the classroom, which will be inspected and treated as necessary.
Staker says the students won't be back to school Wednesday because of the expected treatment but are expected back on Thursday.
Bedbugs are considered a nuisance, but experts say the pests don't spread disease.
