IOWA CITY - The University of Iowa and Des Moines Area Community College have partnered to allow DMACC students to earn a UI bachelor's degree without leaving campus.
The program started this fall. UI President Sally Mason and DMACC President Rob Denson signed an agreement during a presentation Friday on the DMACC Ankeny campus.
Students who complete their associate of arts, associate of applied science or an associate of science degree may continue to take UI courses during the fall and spring semester. Course methods including online with face-to-face support and discussion will be used.
The partnership allows students to pursue four different tracks: general studies; non-profit management certificate; entrepreneurial management certificate; and justice studies.
