A three-member subcommittee of Iowa House lawmakers this week advanced a bill that would allow Iowa restaurant workers under the age of 18 to serve alcohol.
“As with all bills, there are things that are good and there are things you may not think are good or you could do a better job on. My caucus has tried to take a bill and make it better,” Rep. John Forbes, D-Urbandale, said.
Iowa House Democrats like budget but withhold support until they see final version.
