Javin Henry Earns Eagle Scout

Javin Henry, son of JJ and Kim Henry of Cedar

Rapids, earned the rank of Eagle Scout on

February 18, 2016. This accomplishment was celebrated at this Court of Honor on May 15, 2016.

He began his scouting career as a Tiger Cub in 2005 and has remained active in scouts as a member of Troop 8 in Cedar Rapids. As a boy scout, Javin has held many leadership positions including patrol leader, and has earned 33 merit badges. Javin completed his Eagle Project on

January 23, 2016 at the Camp Liberty Girl Scout Camp in New Liberty, IA. The focus of his project was to renovate a 50-year-old cabin, including

tearing out and replacing interior paneling and

insulation. Javin organized 25 volunteers for his project, which entailed nearly 330 total volunteer hours to complete.

Javin would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped him complete his Eagle Project, as well as his Scout leaders for their dedication and support.
