Congratulations,

Gloria Dixon!

Gloria has published her first book!

After the recent death of her husband, Charles A. Dixon, Gloria was inspired to share her story of the various action items and emotions affecting her life

after Charles' death.

Gloria currently resides in

Cedar Rapids, IA.

She was certified as a CPA by the State of Iowa Board of Accountancy. Gloria earned her Bachelor's degree in

Accounting and Business, as well as a Master's degree in Organizational

Management.

Gloria and Charles were the owners of Dixon FYG Sprinkler Systems, which served Cedar Rapids and surrounding communities.

Gloria has been employed as a

corporate auditor with Deere &

Company, Collins Community Credit

Union, and Alliant Energy. She was also employed as a Small Business Revenue Agent for the United States Treasury -

Internal Revenue Service. She was an

instructor at Mt. Mercy University and

Kaplan University.

Gloria has served the Cedar Rapids

community as a member of the Hotel/Motel Tax; Chairperson of the

Advisory Council of Heart of Iowa; Public Health Finance Committee; Taskforce Committee "Foresight 2020"; and

Budget Review Committee for the United Way of East Central Iowa.

Over the years in various local churches, Gloria served as a Sunday school

teacher, Director of the Baptist Training Union, Church Clerk and Special Project Consultant to Deacons and Trustees.

Gloria is self-employed and provides her financial expertise to organizations on a consultant and volunteer basis.

To be able to write a book after losing a loved one is a wonderful

accomplishment!
