The Liberty Band of Iowa has returned from a
successful performance at the Vintage Band
Festival in Northfield, MN. The festival occurs
every three years and draws thousands.
The band played five concerts in 23 hours on their mid-1800s instruments.
Formed in 2013, the Liberty Band of Iowa exists to perpetuate the heritage of 1800s brass bands. They specialize in reviving "lost" tunes that may not have been heard for over 150 years.
