I’ve been reporting on news in the Cedar Rapids area since I was a freshman in high school while writing for my student newspaper The Kennedy Torch. As a summer intern for The Gazette, I am learning more about the news industry every day and how the work of journalism can both reflect and support a community. During the academic year I work for The Daily Iowan, the University of Iowa’s independent student-run newspaper, where I work in all things digital. Outside of the newsroom, you can find me choreographing dances for my childhood studio, finding new music to listen to and reading.
