A day before its postseason baseball opener Marion was still in search of a place to play Mount Pleasant. A place to practice after the 15-1 win is another story. That’s how this season has gone for the defending Class 3A state champions.
Marion will play in the Class 3A state baseball championship game after a 9-2 win over DeWitt Central.
Marion bounced ADM, 11-2, in the Class 3A quarterfinals to get to the final four for the third-straight year.
Marion ranks among the state leaders in multiple offensive categories. The Indians demonstrated that ability, scoring 32 runs on 27 hits in a doubleheader sweep of CPU.
