Royce White named Big 12 Rookie of the Week
AMES - Iowa State sophomore Royce White has been named the Big 12's Rookie of the Week following his strong debut for the Cyclones.
White scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Cyclones got past Lehigh 86-77 on Saturday.
White, a Minneapolis native sat out last season after transferring from Minnesota, was 9-of-15 shooting and added two assists and three blocks in the victory.
White was awarded the honor by a panel of media members who cover the Big 12.
White and Cyclones hit the road Tuesday night when they face Drake.
