Iowa State junior quarterback Steele Jantz has been named the Big 12's offensive player of the week after leading the Cyclones past Iowa.
Jantz threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns in just his second game at Iowa State, leading the Cyclones on three straight touchdown drives in a 44-41 triple-OT win.
Missouri linebacker Zaviar Gooden is the league's defensive player of the week after making nine tackles and blocking a point-after try in Missouri's 37-30 overtime loss at Arizona State.
Kansas's D.J. Beshears earned special teams honors with 285 all-purpose yards in Kansas' 45-42 win over Northern Illinois.
The players of the week are selected by a panel of five media members picked by the league's sports information directors.
