ISU QB James Capello to transfer

Iowa State quarterback James Capello says he's transferring, cutting the race for the starting job from four players to three.
The Cyclones say Capello, who would've been a redshirt sophomore in 2011, will play at Division II Tiffin University in Ohio next season.
Capello's departure leaves Iowa State with juniors Jerome Tiller and Steele Jantz and redshirt freshman Jared Barnett to compete for the starting spot.
Rhoads said following last month's spring game that he won't name a starter until August at the earliest.
Capello played in a pair of games in 2010, rushing for 27 yards and a touchdown.
Iowa State's James Capello (14) runs for a touchdown during the fourth quarter of their game against Utah Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 in Ames. Iowa State lost the 27 to 68. (Brian Ray/ SourceMedia Group News)
