AMES — Iowa State defensive lineman Kamilo Tongamoa was arrested and charged with an OWI Sunday morning.
The junior college transfer was booked at the Story County Jail at 2:38 a.m. and was being held on $1,900 bond. He is no longer listed on the Story Country Inmate Roster.
Tongamoa was also charged with striking an unattended vehicle, failure to have a license or permit while operating a motor vehicle and failure to prove security against liability.
The redshirt senior from Van Nuys, Calif., transferred from Merced Community College and played in four games last season. An Iowa State spokesperson said Tongamoa is suspended from the team in violation of the Student-Athlete Code of Conduct policy.
