Highlights: Iowa State Cyclones vs. No. 5 Oklahoma Sooners

Iowa State (0-2, 0-1) kept pace, but couldn't pull off the upset of Oklahoma (3-0, 1-0) for the second straight year, falling to the fifth-ranked Sooners 37-27 in the Big 12 opener for both teams.
Quarterback Kyler Murray was outstanding for the Sooners, completing 21 of 29 passes for 348 yards and three touchdowns and adding 77 yards rushing. Marquise Brown caught nine passes for 191 yards and a 75-yard score.
Zeb Noland filled in admirably at quarterback for the Cyclones, finishing 25 of 36 for 360 yards, two touchdowns and a final-drive interception. Hakeem Butler scored touchdowns of 51 and 57 yards, breaking multiple tackles in the process. David Montgomery picked up 82 yards and a TD on 21 carries.
Iowa State hosts Akron at 11 a.m. next week.
