AMES, Iowa (AP) - Former Iowa State walk-on basketball player John Lamb has been arrested on drug charges.
Sgt. Scott Kickbush of the Central Iowa Drug Task Force says Lamb is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and violation of the Drug Tax Stamp Act.
Lamb was taken the Story County Jail Monday night and released after posting a $10,000 bond.
Kickbush says an investigation into Lamb is ongoing.
Cyclones spokesman Mike Green says Lamb, who redshirted in 2010-11, left the team after the season in a mutual decision with coach Fred Hoiberg.
Iowa's online court records have no listing of Lamb's case. There was no immediate information about whether Lamb has an attorney.
