Former ISU star Bolte headed to France
AMES - Former Iowa State women's basketball star Kelsey Bolte will play professionally in France next season.
Iowa State says Bolte has signed to play with a team in Nice, which competes in France's top women's basketball league.
Bolte averaged 16.9 points per game last season for the Cyclones, helping Iowa State finish 22-11 and earn its fifth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Bolte will leave for France on Monday for training camp.
Iowa State's Kelsey Bolte, shooting during practice for a first round NCAA tournament college basketball game in Durham, N.C., in March, has been nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year award.
