Video: What winning a state-tournament game meant to Amanda Ollinger
The Gazette
Jun. 30, 2016 10:00 pm
Amanda Ollinger never visited Wells Fargo Arena before the 2016 state tournament, purposefully waiting until her team qualified to step foot inside.
And you could tell by the look on the Athlete of the Year finalist and University of Iowa commit's face when the buzzer sounded what winning a game there meant.
Watch the video above as Ollinger describes the importance of that state-tournament appearance for Linn-Mar, and her 25-point, 22-rebound performance against Indianola in the quarterfinals.
Be sure to meet the other finalists and look for the winner to be revealed Sunday.
