Video: Springville's Cavanaugh Riley buries running, game-winning buzzer beater

The latest edition of the Springville-Central City rivalry ended in dramatic fashion Tuesday night.

Tied at 42 with only a few seconds left, Springville inbounded to junior Cavanaugh Riley.

Riley dribbled down the sideline, then crossed over two (!) defenders and drilled a runner at the buzzer for the 44-42 win.

Apparently Riley isn't new to this, either. His last-second three last week against Maquoketa Valley broke a 44-44 tie.

Riley was averaging a team-high 10.0 points for the Orioles (4-2) coming into Tuesday.

Central City is now 2-5.
