Video: Jordan Bohannon on what makes the end of a prep sports career so emotional
The ebb and flow of basketball can make for some emotional moments on the floor.
Just ask Linn-Mar's Jordan Bohannon, who scored 44 points in a substate final in March, but saw his prep career end that night on an overtime buzzer beater by Cedar Falls' A.J. Green.
Watch the video above as the state's Mr. Basketball shares his memories of the bonds he made with his teammates in games like that one and throughout the MVC schedule each winter.
Bohannon is headed to the University of Iowa after averaging 25.8 points for the Lions this past season. Be sure to meet the rest of the Athlete of the Year finalists and look for the winner to be announced Sunday.
