STEFFENSMEIER WINS AGAIN FOR TWISTERS
INDIANAPOLIS - Allyson Steffensmeier of Cedar Rapids Twisters Gymnastics won the Level 9 beam and all around, remaining unbeaten in the latter event, at the Circle of Stars meet earlier this month.
More than 4,500 gymnasts competed in this event, held at the Indiana Convention Center.
Other Twisters winners were Ashley Grice in the Level 7 vault and Alexis Peterson on the Level 9 bars.
Placewinners were Peyton Sands, Emily Crumbo and Megan Hendrickson in Level 6, Elise Smith in Level 7, and Alexis Sands in Level 9.
KOCH WINS FOR KIDS FIRST
Ava Koch of Kids First Gymnastics of Cedar Rapids won the Level 4 vault and floor exercise at a recent UGA Invitational.
Teammate Camryn Christner placed third on the Level 7 beam.
CRAG'S MARK SHINES AT CHOW'S
WISCONSIN DELLS - Carly Mark of the Cedar Rapids Association of Gymnastics won the Level 8 vault, bars, beam, floor exercise and all around at the Wisconsin Dells Vacation Classic.
Maya Deuso won the beam, floor and all around, also in Level 8, and Kyleigh Garcia captured the bars and all around in Level 7. Other CRAG winners were Lillian Winterowd (beam) in Level 7 and Jenna Danninger (all around) in Level 9.
Top three finishers were Grace Hartzler and Kareena McSweeny in Level 8; Lexy Wadsworth and Consuelo Mendoza in Level 8; and Emma Hartzler in Level 10.
