Twisters, Moser, CRAG gymnasts win titles

4 from Twisters win state titles
Sydney Cira-Debban, Reese Wilson, Lacey Neighbor and Reese Miller of Twisters Gymnastics won two events each at the Iowa state meet last weekend.
Cira-Debban won the beam and all around in Level 3 and Wilson the beam and all around, Neighbor the vault and all around and Miller the floor exercise and all around in Level 4.
Other Twisters winners were Kylie Link (beam), Alyssa Niemeier (vault) and Hallie Ruby in Level 3, and Victoria Barbieri (floor) and Elissa MacCormick (floor) in Level 4.
Level 3 placewinners were Petyton Krotz, Molly Icenbice, Addison Jun, Katelyn Mackey and Ava Van Berkum. Aubrey Gilliland, Elizabeth Tanner and Amera Nakuritimana earned top three finishes in Level 4.
Mosers gymnast shine in USTA meet
Twenty-three gymnasts from the Moser School of Dance and Gymnastic won titles at a USTA Power Tumbling meet held in Marshalltown that attracted 15 clubs and around 400 athletes.
Emmy Troester, Kloee Chrystal, Megan Pierschbacher, Cooper Ingles, Davien Schweitzer, Kennedy Collins, Summer Anderson, Alexandra McElmeel, Madi LAu, Kennedi Bevans, Jessie Glanz, Maya Burkhart, HannaBelle Erickson, Avery Sweeney, Lukas Friedlein, Isabel Lutgen, Ella Schindler, Gertrude Wall, Emma Bockenstedt, Sophia Geistkemper, Claire Jaeger, Natalie Ries and Cami Timp all won.
Runners-up were Sarah VanDeWalle, Ellie Bockenstedt, Logan Bevans, Alivia Sweeney, Breanna Vaske, Jacob Gasper, Aidynn Burkhart, Ingrid Vaughn, Avery Youngblut, Ava Nolan, Zoe Bailey, Sophia Ahlrichs, Destiny Wall, Claire Cahalan, Cierra Weipert, Tucker Erickson, Harrison Ahlrichs, Shania Rasmussen, Jorgie Wendling, Blayke Hoover, Natalie Soppe, Carley Hillebrand, Tiegan O'Hea, Alexa Riniker, Katie Boeding, Leah Ries, Ella Marting, Hanna Marting and Keely Recker.
Madelyn Schmitz placed third, along with Annie Gulick, Lilee Boriskey, Madison O'Hea, Lainey Knipper, Katelin Ante, Noa Marting, Emma Marting, Karsyn Nichol, Elizabeth Recker, Taeryn Chrystal, Reagan Brown, Emma Fisher, Shalaya Armstead, Nora Sperfslage, Savanna Freese, Isabella Barrett, Josie Briggs, Tyler Buesing, Kayla Felton and Addison Reetz.
Schares captures 5 state titles
Lilly Schares of the Cedar Rapids Association of Gymnastics won five state titles and teammate Kylie Henry captured four at the compulsory championships last weekend.
Both in Level 3, Schares won the vault, bars, beam, floor exercise and all around Henry the vault, beam, floor and all around.
Sophia Liu, in Level 3, and Sidney Davidson, in Level 4, were triple winners, Liu in the vault, beam and all around and Davidson in the vault, beam and all around.
Other CRAG winners were Bethany Young (bars) in Level 3; Natalie Freeman (vault), Ava Andrews (vault), Emma Kelsey (bars), Lexie Goldsmith (floor) and Grace Walker (beam) in Level 4; and Alyssa McAleer (bars) in Level 5.
Placewinners were Hailey Hakes, Maanasas Chinnakonda, Shea Johnson, Jaeden Humphries, Autumn Poston and Madilyn Tumilty in Level 4, and Riley Smith in Level 5.
