Twisters Gymnastics dominates at Harley Meet

Twisters Gymnastics won three team titles at the Harley Meet, hosted by Midwest Twisters in Milwaukee.

Twisters won in Levels 7, 8 and 10.

The Level 7 team was led by -1st place team JuJu Gielau, who the vault, bars and all around. Delaney Quinn won the vault and floor exercise and Ella Duffy and Aubrey Langton won on the beam.

Reese Flemming, Elise Ledger and Delaney Quinn were placewinners.

Lainey Phippen won three events (vault, bars, beam and all around) to pace the Level 7 team. Amalisa Harris won the bars and floor and Brookelynn Kreel won the floor.

Audrey Beatty and Ellie Lake were placewinners.

Jaly Jones captured the bars, floor and all around in Level 10. Aubrey Gilliland and Reese Wilson placed.

Twisters placed third in Level 3, led by winners Amelia Archibald (bars) and Maddie Shebek (vault). Mia Dorman and Kyla Schilling were placewinners.

Nataleigh LeClere won the floor exercise in Level 4 and Ava Manthe was a placewinner.

Mackenzie Staub placed in Level 6, Shandin Gilbert in Level 9.

Iowa Gym Nest shines

Hanna Naxera (Xcel Diamond), Bailey Madura (Level 8), Karlie Remick (Level 2), Cruz Shipp (Level 2), Allyson Weibe (Xcel Bronze) and Emily Pence (Xcel Bronze) of the Iowa Gym Nest won all around titles recently at the Circle of Stars in Indianapolis and Blizzard Beach in Cedar Rapids.

Other winners were Brynley Applegate (Level 9), Allison Hein (Level 7), Abby Krumbholz ( Xcel Silver), Amara MacLagan (Xcel Gold), Karlie Remick (Level 2), Ayala Levin (Level 2) and Emily Pence (Xcel Bronze) in the vault and Sophia O’Sullivan (Level 9), Hudson Mass (Xcel Silver), Hanna Naxera (Xcel Diamond), Maggie Trueblood (Xcel Silver), Karlie Remick (Level 2) and Sophia McElroy (Level 2) on the bars.

Lyla Brewer (Level 9) earned gold in the beam, along with Josslyn Pippert (Xcel Silver), Maggie Trueblood (Xcel Silver), Alexandra Ortega (Level 8), Greta Krob (Level 10), Scout Sexton (Level 3), Karlie Remick (Level 2), Cruz Shipp (Level 2), Allyson Weibe (Xcel Bronze), Sophia Pentecost (Xcel Bronze) and Ayla Springsteen (Xcel Bronze).

Floor exercise winners were Quinn O’Toole (Level 2), Cruz Shipp (Level 2) and Allyson Weibe (Xcel Bronze).

Clare Allou (Level 7) finished second in the all around, as did Ella Rieck (Level 9), Raven Tyree (Level 8), Logan Zirker (Xcel Gold), Amara MacLagan (Xcel Gold), Greta Krob (Level 10), Marlow Larmore (Level 2), Ayala Levin (Level 2), Sophia Pentecost (Xcel Bronze), Ani Gates- (Xcel Bronze), Ayla Springsteen (Xcel Bronze) and Mallory Densmore (Xcel Bronze).

Third-place all around finishers were Hudson Mass (Xcel Silver), Raivyn Rodgers (Level 8), Quinn O’Toole (Level 2) and Sophia McElroy (Level 2)

Previously at a different competition, Greta Krob, 11, qualified for the prestigious Nastia Liukin Cup. She qualified with an all around score of 37.05 in her first competition as a Level 10.
