Marion 48, Independence 37
The purveying thought is kids can get over tough losses better than coaches.
'Yeah, that's probably real accurate,' agreed Mike Manderscheid.
You could tell the Marion boys' basketball coach still was a little bugged by his team's one-point loss last Friday night at Solon. A 3-point shot at the buzzer gave the Spartans the win and is all that's separating the Indians from a nice little 3-0 start.
Marion rebounded Tuesday night with a 48-37 win over Independence to begin play in the Wamac Conference's West Division. A 2-1 record isn't too bad.
