Championship Thursday in Iowa's smaller two classes at Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge crowned Collins-Maxwell and Louisa-Muscatine in 1A and 2A, respectively.
Class 2A: No. 3 Louisa-Muscatine 4, No. 10 Iowa City Regina 3
This time, the Regina Regals were on the wrong end of the rally.
Third-ranked Louisa-Muscatine struck for a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, with Hailey Sanders' single chasing home Kylee Sanders for the winning run in a 4-3 triumph over No. 10 Iowa City Regina for the Class 2A state softball championship Thursday night at the Rogers Sports Complex.
'The feeling is so unreal,' Hailey Sanders said. 'At the beginning of the season, this seemed so far away. To do it with this group, it's magical.'

Class 1A: No. 2 Collins-Maxwell 1, No. 4 Ackley AGWSR 0
Collins-Maxwell didn't manage a baserunner in the first six innings, but strung together three hits in the seventh to walk off with a state championship.
Hannah Caple's single to center field scored Katie Camp for the winning run.
Taryan Barrick was perfect through six and struck out 10, but Mikayla Hogue nearly matched her, allowing just one hit and a walk in seven scoreless innings.
This was Collins-Maxwell's first year back on its own after a split with Baxter, with which it had whole-grade sharing for athletics the last 29 years.
