Roundup: Xavier’s Schulte helps dad notch 150th career coaching victory

Bryce Schulte's four first-half touchdown passes led third-ranked Cedar Rapids Xavier to a 35-12 prep football win at Western Dubuque last night, handing his dad his 150th win as a coach.
It was Duane Schulte's 125th win in 18 years with the Saints.
Bryce Schulte connected with Balke Whitten on a 75-yard score, Nick Stark from 7, Ryan Stulken from 19 and Maliki Wilson from 61. Wilson also scored on a 23-yard run as the Saints improved to 5-0 overall, 4-0 in Class 3A-4.
The Bobcats fell to 1-5, 0-3.
C.R. WASHINGTON 53, OTTUMWA 7
- Tavian Patrick rushed for 125 yards and a touchdowns and Isaiah Nimmers scored three TDs as the Warriors (5-1, 2-0) rolled to a 4A-6 road victory.
Drew Dostal and T.J. Vogel both passed for a pair of TDs, Dostal twice to Nimmers and Vogel to Trey Leonard and Nimmers.
The Warriors totaled 370 yards of offense.
ANAMOSA 52, MONTICELLO 28
- The Raiders scored 22 fourth-quarter points to hold off Monticello and move to 6-0 for the first time since 1977.
Daniel Husmann caught three passes - all for touchdowns - and rushed 98 yards as Anamosa moved to 4-0 in 2A-4. Kolin Schulte completed 10 of 12 passes for 191 yards and four TDs and Tyler Zumbach caught five passes for 84 yards, including a 60-yard score.
Jacob Manternach and Maxwell Keleher scored for Monticello (3-3, 1-2), Keleher's 10-yard run pulling the Panthers within 30-28 early in the fourth quarter.

WEST DELAWARE 41, CHARLES CITY 20
- Coy Roussell rushed for 196 yards and Max Ridenour passed for 236 as the Hawks rolled to a 3A-3 win at home.
Roussell scored two touchdowns, on runs of 41 and 84 yards, and Ridenour passed for three - hitting Sam Maloney twice (21 and 19 yards) and Owen Ward from 57 yards out. Kyle Curley added a 47-yard interception return for a TD as West Delaware improved to 6-0, 4-0,

WEST BRANCH 55, DURANT 0
- Luke Lenoch rushed for 168 yards and four touchdowns as the Bears rolled to a Class 1A-5 win at home.
West Branch (6-0, 3-0) scored 28 seconds into the first quarter, and never trailed.
Cooper Koenig completed a 92-yard pass in the third quarter to Cooper Kabela, the longest pass play in school history.

DECORAH 41, VINTON-SHELLSBURG 18
- The Vikings rolled up 457 yards of offense at home, led by Garrett Wise's 108 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Cole Steffan added 59 rushing yards and two more TDs and completed 6 of 7 passes for 137 yards for the Vikings (3-3, 2-1 in 3A-3).
Vikings quarterback Jordan Womochil completed 11 of 19 passes for 200 yards and three TDs.

ALBURNETT 48, WAPELLO 18
- Quarterback Dillon Caves was 10 of 14 for 193 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for 89 yards and two more TDs as Alburnett (6-0, 4-0 1A-5) won at home.
Jordan Stewart caught two touchdowns for the Pirates, while Bryce Paul picked up 76 yards on the ground.
SOLON 41, DEWITT CENTRAL 0
- Brandon Childs ran for two touchdowns and connected with Jacob Coons on passes of 16 and 52 yards for two more scores.
Graeson Dall rushed for two TDs as the Spartans improved to 3-3 overall, 2-1 in 3A-4.
BETTENDORF 48, I.C. WEST 20
- Dax Emerson rushed for five touchdowns and 195 yards, allowing unbeaten Bettendorf to pull away to non-district win.
Emerson rushed for all but 29 of his yards after the Trojans pulled within 21-13 on the first of Oliver Martin's two touchdown receptions on the opening drive of the second half.
Quarterback Alex Henderson completed 17 of 31 passes, including eight for 126 yards to Martin, who scored on plays of 27 and five yards in the second half.
