Prep Girls: Xavier tops Prairie 55-42

Lizzy Bailey led all scorers with 18 points as No. 14 (Class 4A) Cedar Rapids Xavier beat Cedar Rapids Prairie, 55-42, last night at Prairie. Lexi Noonan finished the night with eight points for Xavier.

Olivia Usher led Prairie with 11 points.

IOWA CITY HIGH 46, C.R. WASHINGTON 32 — No. 7 City High held the Warriors to just 13 points in the first half and thirty percent shooting for the game in Cedar Rapids. Courtney Joens led all scorers with 20 points and added nine rebounds for City (8-2, 5-0 MVC). Her sister Ashley Joens scored 10 and grabbed nine boards and Kenya Earl chipped in 10 points.

Washington (4-5, 1-5) was led by Kandis O'Donnell with 11 points and six rebounds.

MARION 54, WEST DELAWARE 37 — Mia Laube finished with a team-leading 12 points and was one of four Marion players to finish in double digits at West Delaware.

Amanda Sahm had 11 points for the Indians (8-2), while Chloe Rice and Michalyn Mohr each scored 10.

Kasey Palmer led the way for West Delaware (6-3) with 12.

IOWA CITY WEST 60, C.R. JEFFERSON 28 — Mikaela Morgan led all scorers with 23 points to lead No. 4 Iowa City West at home.

Grace Tafolla chipped in 11 points for the Women of Troy (9-0).

Kennedy Dighton scored 11 points to pace the Jefferson (5-5) offense.
