GIRLS
CEDAR RAPIDS KENNEDY 47, CEDAR RAPIDS XAVIER 25
Lela Sellers scored 18 points as Cedar Rapids Kennedy toppled Cedar Rapids Xavier, 47-25, Friday night in a Mississippi Valley Conference girls' basketball game at Xavier.
The Cougars led, 25-7, at halftime.
Meghan Joens led the Saints with seven points.
CEDAR RAPIDS PRAIRIE 69, DUBUQUE SENIOR 30
Jenna Wagemester led a very balanced attack with 11 points, eight rebounds and four steals, while Halle Person added eight points and every player who entered the game scored as Prairie improved to 4-2.
IOWA CITY WEST 57, WATERLOO WEST 40
Rachel Saunders scored a game-high 18 points with four 3-pointers to lead the Women of Troy to the win at home.
Maddie Huinker added 16 points with three 3-pointers for West.
IOWA CITY HIGH 66, CEDAR RAPIDS JEFFERSON 51
Ashley Joens scored 31 points while sister Courtney Joens added 13 points to lead Iowa City High to the win at Jefferson.
Kenya Earl added 12 points for the Little Hawks.
Kaylee Donner tallied 13 points to lead Jefferson while Avery Guy scored 10 points for the J-Hawks.
NORTH-LINN 57, CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 31
Morgan Boer scored a game high 20 points to lead the Lynx to the win at Springville.
Ashley Tull added 17 points for North-Linn. Candace Wilson paced Cedar Valley Christian with 11 points including three 3-pointers.
BOYS
CEDAR RAPIDS PRAIRIE 65, DUBUQUE SENIOR 61 (OT)
Noah Carter's 3-pointer for Dubuque Senior with less than 10 seconds left in regulation forced overtime, but Prairie's Jalen Rima made 3-of-4 free throws in the extra period to help Prairie (3-1, 1-0 MVC) claim victory.
IOWA CITY WEST 66, WATERLOO WEST 43
Iowa City West scored on its first six possessions to open the fourth quarter and used a 19-7 run to break the game open en route to a win at Waterloo.
Tanner Lohaus had 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Trojans (3-1, 1-0), while Wali Parks added 11 points, Devontae Lane had 10 points for the Trojans.
MARION 46, WILLIAMSBURG 41
Jacob Manderscheid scored a game-high 14 points while Chase Zielke added nine points to lead Marion to the win at Williamsburg.
Isaiahn Powell and Dylan Miller each made three 3-pointers and tallied nine points for the Raiders.
IOWA CITY REGINA 59, WEST LIBERTY 46
Nathan Stenger scored 18 points and Andrew Adamec added 15 as the Regals won at West Liberty.
