4A No. 6 CEDAR RAPIDS XAVIER 58, 4A No. 15 FAIRFIELD 53
No. 6 Xavier broke away from a 28-28 halftime tie and beat No. 15 Fairfield 58-53 in a non-conference game in Fairfield.
The Saints had three players in double figures: Lexi Noonan 17, Kiana Stanek 15, and Amelia Ivester 12, to offset a 26-point outburst by Fairfield's Amber Nicole Buch.
4A No. 1 MARION 72, VINTON-SHELLSBURG 11
The top-ranked Indians played tremendous defense in Marion.
Chloe Rice scored 13 points for Marion on a night when 11 different players scored, with four in double figures.
2A No. 1 IOWA CITY REGINA 68, WEST BRANCH 39
The top-ranked Regals remained undefeated with a win in West Branch.
Sophomore Alex Weise led Regina (19-0) with 31 points. Mary Crompton added 12 points.
Tatum Koenig had 19 points for West Branch (11-8).
CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 51, CLINTON PRINCE OF PEACE 23
Elisabeth Fields and Emma Slagle each scored 14 points for Cedar Valley Christian in Clinton. Slagle made four 3-pointers for the Huskies and Maggie Cach added 13 points.
Miranda Schnier scored 11 points for Prince of Peace.
5A No. 3 IOWA CITY WEST 63, MOUNT PLEASANT 33
The third-ranked Women of Troy didn't have much trouble in a non-conference tilt in Iowa City.
Maddie Huinker led Iowa City West with 15 points. Rachael Saunders (11) and Emma Koch (11) also scored in double figures.
Boys
LINN-MAR 73, WATERLOO EAST 61
Trey Hutcheson recorded a double-double for Linn-Mar, scoring a game-high 42 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.
Tyler Voves chipped in nine points and Reese Phillips added eight points for the Lions. Nolan Ruff dished out seven assists.
Tyrese Nickelson scored 37 points for East.
CEDAR RAPIDS PRAIRIE 83, IOWA CITY HIGH 65
The Hawks dominated at home as Max Smith Drahos led the way with 24 points.
Griff Clark hit four 3-pointers and scored 18 points for Prairie.
Chuck Johnson scored a team-high 15 points for the Little Hawks.
CEDAR RAPIDS XAVIER 70, CEDAR FALLS 60
Max Techau scored 22 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead Xavier at home.
Matthew Mims hit three 3-pointers and added 20 points and Jackson Joens chipped in 13 points.
Cedar Falls's A.J. Green scored 33 points to lead all scorers.
4A No. 2 DUBUQUE SENIOR 70, CEDAR RAPIDS JEFFERSON 53
Willie Guy scored 15 points and made four treys for Jefferson in a losing effort against No. 2 Senior in Dubuque.
Kyler Bell added 12 points and Royshawn Webb chipped in 10 points for the J-Hawks.
Louis Psihoyos scored 18 points to lead Senior.
CLINTON PRINCE OF PEACE 70, CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 29
Prince of Peace dominated Cedar Valley Christian in Clinton. Seth Moeller scored 20 points for the Irish. Kyle Gustafson scored seven points for the Huskies.
WEST BRANCH 56, IOWA CITY REGINA 54
Ted Bridges hit a jumper to give the Bears the lead in the final two minutes in West Branch.
VINTON-SHELLSBURG 62, MARION 51
